Stepping into the 6th month, my darling Caryl has started to learn a lot of skills. On the other hand, since we had fly to Shenzhen, my tough time begins. I'm hanging with her all the times.12/05/10 1st tooth (right lower front tooth)

As an active and 'daring' girl, my darling has basically mastered the skills when she turns 7 months old. Of course before that she has many falls and knocks due to losing the balance when she's learning to sit, crawl as well as pulling up to stand. But that doesn't stop her from trying again. Me and hubby had to pay extra attention on her all the times so that she's not seriously hurt.
Since we came Shenzhen, she wakes up really early around 5-6 am in the morning. Takes 3 naps a day but each very short about 1/2 hours. Would be longer only if i'm with her. Had her formula at 6 oz. Once in a while have cereal and bread or porridge, but she likes her formula more as well as the bread. End pf the month, had changed to stage 2 formula.
Gladly after a month in Shenzhen, she finally adapts to the new place, willing to be alone and willing to be with her 'papa'. Able to take longer naps without me accompanying her. But she still waking up early in the morning.
On 4/6/10 (7mths 4days old), i found my little darling cruising. My mum told me, she might be able to walk when she's 9mths old. Gods....not sure issit good or bad to learn walking so early. I worried i'm unable to guard her by then.....

Got herself a bleeding wound on her left eyebrow and nose on 6/6/10 while i'm vacuuming. She fell from the mattress when she wants to reach the vacuum cleaner. Had a great cry of course, but after a little comfort from us, she's smiling and playing on the bed again.....Sigh....
After a few falling and knocking and lessons on the differences between bed and floor, she has learned that she'll fell and hurt. Thereafter, she'll stayed at the bed corner and voice out when she wakes up. Only once in a while when she's playful and forget, she'll fell off.
The activity she likes most after waking up from nap without "calling" me.

Starts mumble 'papa' and 'mum mum' a lot mid of her 7th month. I found she seems to use the word with mean. When she sees her 'papa' and wants him to hold her, she'll mumble 'papapapa'....When she's hungry (always about her meal time), she mumbles 'mum mum mum mum'.....I'm so jealous, how come she called her papa 1st....But hubby said when she said 'mum mum', she'll look at me, so she means me because i'm the one who feed her.....(ok...accepted to cheer myself!!)
There's a period of times, where she refused to sleep at night. Almost every night she'll start getting cranky when i changed her pyjamas. Then starts crying and wants to get out of the room. I had to rock her until she sleeps or hold her to watch tv together in the living room until she falls asleep by herself. Slowly we discover, she wants us both to sleep together with her. Only me alone with her in the room is not enough, her papa will have to be there too. Many nights about 11-12am, she'll awake and cried if she found us not on bed. Once she sees me, she'll lie back and continue her sleep, like an alarm telling us "it's sleeping time".... ;)

Continue waking up early in the morning (@tired@). Every morning wait for her papa to carry her out to the living room when he wakes up to prepare for work. If he doesn't do so, she'll show a sour face sometimes with tears to me who still blur and sleepy.
Finally able to take longer naps about an hour or 1.5 hour sometimes and that ease me alot because i could have some personal times while she's napping.
My darling loves going 'kai kai'. She'll be really happy and shaking her legs when she knows we'll be going out especially seeing me preparing her diaper bag. Besides, she's a friendly baby. If she's in good mood (always), as soon as we get in the lift, she'll smile and raised her hand and said 'o' when she sees people (sort of saying 'hi' to the person). Then, giving big smile to everyone all the way. On the other hand, she's also the type that willing to meet strangers. Anyone could hold her. Well, perhaps staying at home with only both of us the whole day had bored her. Meeting others excites her so much.....
Had reduced her nap to twice a day so that she could sleep more at night and wont be waking up too early in the morning. Glad that she's taking 1.5 hour for each nap and waking up about 7 or 7+ in the morning while her papa getting to work. She never failed to say goodbye to her papa for work.I'm not sure since when she's so attached to her papa, she wants him to hold her and kiss goodnight before she goes to sleep, even for a while. Else she'll refused to settle for sleep. For some nights, if she's having nightmare and cried, she'll wants her papa to comfort her instead of me. Hm....maybe sometimes i showed angry face and scolded her when she's naughty. That's caused her bad dreams, i think. Ok....mummy always the bad guy and papa always nice because she'll get to go 'kai kai' if papa around.
On 10/07/10, we found her sitting down by herself from standing, no longer falling or calling us when she wants to sit down. This has make her getting here and there around the house easily. It's time to keep all the dangerous things. Slowly, i also found her squatting with one hand holding to balance herself in order to pick up things from the floor.
With her ability to explore, my girl has learned a lot of things. She found the way to open the drawer. So, we had to lock all the drawers for safety. Then, a few days later, she found the way to get down from the mattress. From the beginning, i didn't"want to teach her the way because i could limit her to stay only on the bed while she's in the room. Now that she already know the way, she's everywhere. My darling no longer crying or called me whenever she's awake from naps and whenever she needs help to get down. Instead, she'll get down the mattress herself and crawl all the way out of the room to reach me.
In the walker again...to limit the area she could reach....for safety...
At this stage, my little darling seems to understand simple words. When we said we are going ('走咯') or 'come here', she'll faster come near us....When we said 'bye bye' and asked her to wave, she'll wave.....When we said 'give me 5' or clap hand ('拍手'), she'll do so....When i said 'no', she'll looked at me and paused for a while ('_').....If she wants her milk, she'll said 'nen nen', given other she'll refused to eat.....
My girl loves songs and music especially rock. Not sure since when, we found her shaking her body happily when she heard that, sometimes even mumble like she's singing. If we asked her to dance (跳舞), she'll shake her body. The stronger the beat, the stronger she shake herself.
The 8th month is as tough as when we just came SZ. Due to teething, since earlier of the month, she gets cranky easily, been eating less, not sleeping well at night, etc etc etc. Finally on 25/07/10, i saw the 3rd teeth (left upper front tooth) breaking out. No sign of the 4th though. Still need to take sometimes i guess....
My darling turns 9 months old on 31/07/10. At this point she's about 8kg. Not gaining much weight because of bad appetite, therefore she's no longer as chubby as she is. But she has grow higher, roughly about 71cm now. As a whole she looks slim and tall.
