Looking forward...

On 1st October, hubby will be back for a few days holiday....He'll be back to Penang 1st then only come to Muar for 2 days...Short though...but better than none...

Since i am pregnant and back to Muar, i really miss him a lot, although i have use to the days without him around....

Looking forward for coming weekend....

Stitching update : Coaster # 2

After i have finished stitching the "Guan Yin", i have continue to stitch hubby's Zodiac Coaster which i have stopped much earlier due to insufficient materials.

Now, i have 2 done. Was thinking to do the 3rd and that'll be my baby's zodiac. But i'm not sure which to do. Most probably she's is a Scorpian since the due date falls on early Nov. However there is a possibility she is a Libran if she can't wait. Of course i hope she's due on time....Hmmm...better wait till she's born...or shall i start doing others to make a set???

12th & 13th pregnancy check up..

On 11/9/09 afternoon, went to the private gynea for routine check.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 116/69
Weight : 52.5kg
Baby's weight : 1.7kg

Scanning was done. Gynea told me baby is slightly smaller. I felt so worry. Then, he cont to tell me she might not reach 3kg upon due. Oh, Ok...Thank god! I always thought a baby around 3kg is considered "big" already....How come nowadays, less than that means small??? Anyway, as long as my baby not under weight upon due, i don't mind! (Of course if she is bigger, better lar..easier to take care mar...hehe)

During check up i asked Gynea is it baby's movements will start to get lesser, because i found my baby not that active as usual on that day. He said could be, but at night, her activeness will have to be the same. For safety, he suggested me to do ECG for baby to make sure my baby's movement reduced not because of lack of oxygen.

ECG done for 1/2 hr. Baby's heart beat is normal, movements also normal (probably too soft, i didn't feel it). However, there was 2 contractions detected within 20mins. Nurses who helped me to do the ECG told me, if there are contractions at this stage, big possibilities i will deliver earlier. My gynea with a smile ask me whether i felt uncomfortable and painful which i didn't. He then told me not to worry, relax and rest more at home. But those nurses seem worry and told me to rush to hospital once i feel uncomfortable or pain.

*********************************************************

17/9/09 morning, i went to poli for check up.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 100/60
Hb : 11.6 (finally above min :-} )
Weight : 53.5kg (1kg within 6 days?? I think most probably because of the scale. It's a digital scale at the poli, should be more sensitive.)
Baby's heart beat normal.

The nurse take quite sometime detecting my baby's heart beat because my girl is quite active at that time. Once detected, she will push here and there, sort of avoiding the checking :-} The nurse also laugh and said so early my baby already wake up...hehe...

Asked the nurse about the contraction, she said if only once in a while in a day, that's normal. Nothing to be worry. Many reasons can be the caused such as tired, hungry, stress and etc. But if there are a few times in a day, then have to go hospital for further check up. Same as my gynea, she asked me to rest more and avoid carry heavy things.

A busy week

This week is a really busy week. Grandpa admitted to hospital on Monday. Mum has to rush in and out, taking care of him in the hospital, fetching kids (taking care by her) from schools and tuition, cooking meals for us.......plus it is the mid 7th month of lunar calendar, we have to do praying at home. She has to prepare the necessaries and cooked for the praying.

I'm glad that grandpa is recovering and has discharged on Friday. Mum no need to rush in and out hospital. But, there are also a lot for her to do, helping grandma to bath grandpa, assist him get on and off the bed, feeding grandpa with milk 3 hours once via the "nose tube"......

Mum is really great like a super women. The only thing i could help her is taking care of those kids (3 of them) when she is not around or busy and do some simple house chores.

Hopefully, grandpa can get really well soon and no need to have so much attention. God bless..

11th pregnancy check up..

Done my 11th pregnancy check at GH poli on 1/9/09. Have a long wait that day, reached about 2.30pm, taken the number and waited till 3.30pm for my turn. Finished check up at 4.00pm....tired...! Only 2 numbers being called within that hour. I'm not sure what happend, they used to be very fast. Perhaps due to man power shortage because of H1N1 flu (some are helping out at the special counter for flu) or maybe it's fasting month, no energy to work!!

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 100/60
Hb : 10.9 (glad that increased, still not reaching min though)
Weight : 52.2kg
Baby's heart beat normal.

Had an injection for "Tetanus Toxoid" booster dos, the nurse said is a must for all pregnant lady after 30th weeks of pregnancy.
Have been advised to continue to take 2 iron pills twice a day before meal since my Hb still low. Actually i only take 2 iron pills once in the morning....;p Don't really want to take too much. Anyway, since my Hb still increased i believe the low Hb during last check up is due to my flu.

Cupcakes

Got this recipe from newspaper. It is really simple with little ingredients needed. Yet, it tastes nice especially serving hot. It's actually a steaming recipe, but i have added some butter in order to bake in oven.

Ingredients :-
~ 3 eggs
~ 80g caster sugar *
~ 100g butter/ margarine (melted) **
~ 150g self raising flour
~ 3 spoons soda drink (eg: F&N orange soda, or any other flavor) ***

Steps:-
~ Preheat the oven at 180C.
~ Beat the eggs and caster sugar together until the mixture turn pale and fluffy.
~ Add in the melted butter and mix well.
~ Add in the flour and beat until the mixture become smooth batter.
~ Add in the soda drink and mix well.
~ Tip the batter into paper cups (recipe enough for 12 cupcakes).
~ Bake for 15 mins or until the inserted tester come out clean.

*original recipe is 100g of caster sugar. 80g turn out to be just nice for me and my family, but those who love sweeter flavor could follow the original recipe.
** original steaming recipe is without butter.
*** the function of the soda drink is to cover the "eggy" smell. Flavor used won't affect the cake's flavor.
