My HAPPY girl...

I have a happy girl. She loves to laugh. When people talk to her, shaking her toys, she'll laugh happily. She loves noise, the noisier the merrier, especially when my little cousin playing and laughing beside her, she'll also laugh and move her hands and legs merrily as if she's joining.

before N after...

Before having my girl,
my days start at 10.00am and end around 11.00pm.
Now,
my days start at 7.00am and end at 12.00am, sometime later.

Before having my girl,
i have plenty of time to read, to blog, to watch tv, to stitch, to etc.
Now,
i hardly have time for own activities, baby is the priority.

Before having my girl,
i could sleep as much as i want.
Now,
i have to wake up at night for feeding, taking a 15mins nap in the afternoon is a fortune.

Before having my girl,
i could simply hang out as long as i want,
Now,
i had to depend whether my family is free to look after her and that can't be long.

My life change a lot after having my girl and i seem to complaint a lot???
Well, that's not true.....I enjoy having her although i hardly had time for my own.....

She's my joy!!

The 1st month...

~My girl sleep a lot and seldom awake for feeding especially during day time. She just won't awake no matter how we disturb her.
~She only willing to drink if she demand by crying else she won't open her mouth even though it's feeding time.
~Feed with formula milk since the 1st day because i'm still not processing.
~Refuse to latch on and always get fussy, perhaps the way i carry her is incorrect.
~Hardly finish 2oz milk.
~Hate to drink water, refuse to drink and push away the bottle with her tongue if is water.
~Umbilical cord dropped on the 6th day (5/11/09).

Am tired because i take care of my girl myself day and night, plus my body has yet to recover from delivery. But i'm glad hubby is around to help. We're both hurry-scurry since we're new parent and had to learn everything, holding, feeding, changing from scratch. And we had to adjust ourself to follow baby's timing. However, i'm thankful that my mum and grandma are around to assist.

Nurse from the poli came visit on 4th day (3/11/09). Was told that my baby has jaundice but very mild and i have to pay attention so that it wont get serious. Due to that the nurse visit almost everyday to make sure my baby is fine. Was told to awake my baby and to force feeding her at least every 2 hours, also to bask her so that the jaundice won't get serious. On the 5th day and 7th day, brought baby to the poli to check on the jaundice level to make sure she's not at risk. I nearly cry when i saw my girl crying during the nurse collecting blood sample little by little from her feet. Am glad that the result shown reduced on the 2nd check and no need to go anymore.

~Start feeding regularly and able to finish 2oz.
~A good baby during midnight. Would only move her body and searching bottle with her mouth when she's hungry during midnight.
~Willing to latch on but always demand more.
~Had to feed with formula milk since my supply wasn't enough. (my plan to fully breast feeding cant achieve).
~Loves listen to people talking, would be quiet when people talking loudly.
~Would smile when people hold her talk to her as if she understand.
~Her eyes would stared and followed near moving objects.
~Skin starts peeling.
~Has lot of wind in her stomach, get fussy when she wants to fart.
~Always hiccupping and farting a lot.
~Likes to stretch herself a lot until her face turn really red.

Started this week, become cranky every night from 8.00pm till 12.00am or the latest 1.00am. Can't guess the reason, she just refused to sleep although been yawning. Request attention, wants people talk to her or hold her. Would only keep quiet and fall asleep if being hold. But her eyes will widely open immediately if being put back on the bed. Mum said because that's the time me and hubby having video chat online while i'm pregnant. So, it has become her habits, it's not sleeping time....

Unlike the 1st week, hubby no longer awake during midnight (too tired and surrendered). I do the midnight feeding and i'm glad i managed to do it all by myself ;p. But he'll help to do the feeding during dawn.

On the 10th day (11/11/09), nurse from the poli came visit again and weighted my baby. Her weight increased about 0.2kg to 3.2kg.

On 15/11/09, brought baby to my gynea for follow up check after delivery. We are both doing well. Baby's weighted at 3.4kg.

~2oz doesn't seem enough especially breast milk. Able to finish up to 3oz if is breast milk.
~Gets hungry easily (less than 2 hours).
~End of week 3, start feeding 2.5oz.
~Active girl, loves company.

Hubby went back to SZ for work and i took care of my girl myself at night. Glad that i already able to cope with her timing.

On her 20th day, nurse came to weight her again. She's weighted at 3.5kg.

~Able to see quite far, her eyes would follow if someone walk pass by her.
~Keep having stomach problem, always get cranky before farting and "digesting".
~Start massaging her every evening and she loves it a lot.

Since it's school holiday, mum no need to wake up early, so she helps me to take care of my girl at night. Hmmm....i finally has good night sleep, but it appears to be so lonely without my girl's companion at night....hehe....;p

My darling wearing the outfit bought by her daddy.

We celebrated her full moon on 29th Nov, 2 days earlier than actual date. Me and my mum actually brought her to Giant Hyper that night. My darling sleep through the whole way, from the minute she gets in the car. Until we came back, she only awake once in the car for feeding, other than that she sleeps soundly in my mum's arm (i'm the driver). ;p

31/10/2009...

Wake up in the morning about 9.30am, my tummy feel really uncomfortable....

Actually i've been feeling uneasy since 2 days ago....keep feeling wanted to go toilet to "digest" but there's nothing...

After breakfast about 10.30am, start feeling mild rhythmic contractions....hubby called from SZ airport telling me, his flight had delay about 1/2 hours....told him that i've felt some mild contractions but i'm fine....

About 11.00am, while i'm reading newspaper, i started to feel the contractions became more and more frequent.....i faster had a quick bath and hair wash....while i had some noodle soup, i felt the contractions became stronger....when i timed, it's about 5 mins once....i decided to visit my gynea for a check up and i brought along the necessities for delivery just in case....

It was about 12.30pm....the reception nurse suggested me to admit for delivery....during registration i felt the contractions become much stronger....the nurse asked who is with me, and i told her my mum, she doubted and asked where is my husband....i told her, he is in the plane on the way back from China.....she laughed and said hopefully my baby could wait.......after that, a nurse brought me to the labor room and help me with the preparation, changing, shaving etc....since i'm fine with only contractions, the nurse allowed me to walked out from the labor room to have a short talk with my mum....i asked mum to go back home 1st since i'm still waiting for delivery.....

As i turned and walked to the labor room, my water broke.....and the contractions started to be very strong and really painful.....the nurse noticed i'm in already in great pain and worried i might delivered soon, she asked Dr Raja came to check on me because my gynea Dr Lim was away for lunch......Dr Raja told me, i've opened about 6-7cm and may ready for deliver....that was nearly 2pm......

The pain continue became stronger and stronger, until i nearly want to surrender....about 2.30pm, the assisting nurse said she could see my baby's head and i'm ready to "push"....my gynea, Dr Lim being informed for my delivery....after a few great pain and pushing session, my baby is born at 2.46pm....immediately, i could hear my baby's cried.....

About 3.00pm, still in the labor room, i called home and sms hubby that i had gave birth.....my family was surprised, my mum still thinking to prepare some foods as my high tea so that i won't starve while waiting for delivery.......and my hubby still in the plane without knowing i've admitted to give birth ;D.....

About 4pm, hubby received my sms when he landed, he called.....he said he was shocked and he thought he hasn't awake from the sleep because i didn't told him i'm admitted.....hahaha....So, my girl doesn't want to let her daddy wait.....she chose to wait for him.....

Thanks to God.....my darling is born healthily and i don't really suffered long during the delivery....

Giving birth is a really special experience.....it's painful but also joyful.....Before this, i wonder why some women seems to enjoy having baby and willing to have more, since the delivery is so painful......And now i know, the moment you see your baby and heard the cried, the labor pain, the uncomfortable during pregnancy, all being compensated.....it's really amazing and it's an experience a guy would never know.....

People always said one never know how great a mother is until herself become a mum.....it's true.....

20th pregnancy check up (39 weeks 2 days)...

Done at poli on 29/10/09. My due date is approaching....

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/70
Weight : 56.4kg (weight has stopped increasing because i'm about to deliver)
Baby's heart beating at 149bpm.

Nurse confirmed baby's head already positioned at my pelvic causing uncomfortable and reminding me on all the possible labor sign:
~Bleeding/ brownish discharge which looks similar to period end.
~Water breakage with big amount and uncontrollable. Usually is clear, but have to pay attention during labor if it is greenish or brownish, because that means there's baby excrement.
~Rhythmic contractions about 5 mins once.
Other than that, i'm being advised to continue on baby's kick count to ensure baby's movement until delivery.

Further appointment would be a day after my due date if i still yet to deliver.
Well, i hope this would be my last pregnancy check, i can't wait to meet my girl.

My 3rd trimester

Since 3rd trimester started, i felt myself get tired easily, feeling sleepy always. Even though i have make sure myself had enough rest, take a nap in the afternoon, but sometimes that don't really help, still feeling tired. . Well, i know it's due to hormones change, nothing much can be done.

As my baby growing bigger and leaving limited space in my tummy, i found myself having breathing difficulty especially when i lie down or after meal. Achiness at my lower abdomen and lower back, leg cramp since end of 2nd trimester continues. Besides, my lower chest bone, stomach and other part in my tummy also experienced achiness. I even feel numbness at my fingers. Luckily, all that usually happened at night, when i am about to sleep or sometimes during sleep. But because of that i tend to spend longer time to fall asleep and easily awaken.

On the other hand, my stomach starts getting gassy again. Am always burping loudly especially after meals. Also, i have to control myself not to eat full because of heartburn and breathing difficulty. Else, i'll feel uncomfortable.

My baby continue moving actively. But there are times which make me anxious, when she's moving softly and i don't really sure whether she's moving. For that, i'll hit my tummy softly and wait for her reaction. She'll response by kicking or some movements. That's really cute.

Starting mid 3rd trimester, i had to wake up at least twice at night for urine. That's really annoying. I already had to spend longer times getting the most comfortable position to fall asleep, and yet have to wake up 2 times. Besides, i had to spend longer time for 'defecate'.

My baby is hiccupping!! I had feel that 3-4 times a day since mid 2nd trimester actually. It feels like my baby kicking softly rhythmically. I thought my girl is playing inside my tummy. Until i read a pregnancy weekly newsletter, then only i know it is her, hiccupping. According to the newsletter, it's normal and shows a sign of good health. :)

Someday during mid 3rd trimester, i feel myself having contraction, not frequent, once in a while like 2-3 times in a day. Check with gynea and nurse, it's normal. The causes maybe hungry, tiredness, mood or etc. As long as it's not frequent and continuously, nothing to be worry, but i had to get more rest. It maybe a sign that i may deliver earlier before EDD. Therefore, they want me to be careful on it's frequency. If it's more than 4 times in an hour, i'll have to go to hospital.

@ 36weeks...

My tummy getting lower, pressuring my pelvic and lower abdomen. I have to urinate more often especially at night, else it'll caused pain at my lower abdomen. But i felt my stomach, lung and chest bone at ease. On the other hand, as i felt my tummy getting more and more heavy, my steps also getting heavier. I can't stand and walk for long even sit also cannot stay at same position for long.

I no longer be able to see my belly button and those ugly stretch marks has appeared. Hopefully, they'll gone after labor.

Every evening my tummy will get really hard, feeling like my tummy going to explode from inside and causing me hard in walking even sit. Sometimes causing pain at my lower back and lower abdomen. Glad that it'll soften in the morning, at least i'm comfortable during the day.

@ 37weeks ...

During check up, Dr told me that my baby has reached 3kg. No wonder, as the space in my tummy become more limited, i started feel pain again when i lie down. Feel like something heavy in my tummy and i had to sleep at my side, left side mostly. Because, baby's legs are on my right side, sometimes they will press on my chest bone causing pain if i sleep on right side.

@ 38 weeks...

Having a good night sleep seems to be more and more difficult because i tend to wake up many times at night for urine even though i didn't increased fluid intake. Maximum would be 5 times a night, really got me crazy.

Also, i noticed myslf having edema, a very minimal one at my legs. Dr said that's fine since my urine and blood test are normal.

Since my baby is growing bigger, my waistline has reached 39inches @38weeks, but my weight no longer increasing. I have grown a total of 13kg. Dr said my baby is about 3kg and i guessed the amniotic fluid is about another 3kg. So the rest weight would be mine??? My god!!! That's about 7kg!! ***wanna faint@_@***

The contractions (Braxton Hicks) also getting more frequent, about few times a day. Besides, vaginal discharge also seems to increase. I know all that's normal but it makes me tension since my baby is full term, could comes anytime. Because i don't really sure is it true "the time has comes" especially when i feel pain at my tummy. I'm so blur with those fake signs.

I noticed my tummy is "hard" always and limiting my movements even more. Also, baby's movements seems to reduce during daytime. When i'm in doubt of whether my baby is doing well, i'll massage my tummy with my hand. My girl will always response with little movements. ;p

@ 39 weeks...

Feeling more and more uncomfortable at my tummy, lower abdomen, pelvic as well as my lower back. Nurse at the poli confirmed my baby has positioned at mt pelvic causing the uncomfort, but they are hard to predict when i'll give birth.

Anyway, i'm ready to meet my girl....

18th & 19th pregnancy check up (38weeks+)..

Done on 22/10 at the poli, like any other simple routine check to make sure me and baby are ok.
Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/60
Weight : 56kg
Baby's heart beating at 138bmp.

Basically i'm doing well beside some achiness which i was told it's normal and i have to bear it until delivery. Next appointment would be a week later on 29/10.

************************************************************

Gone to my gynea for check up on 25/10. My appointment suppose to be on 27th but i have gone there 2 days earlier.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 108/71
Weight : 55.5kg (different scale from the poli, therefore has slight difference)
Baby's heart beat normal.

No scanning done since the Dr had did it during last check up 10 days ago. Asked Dr about the vaginal discharge i noticed recently, and was told it's normal if it's not bloody, not smelly and not causing itchiness. Besides, also asked about the amniotic fluid leaking which i've been wondering. There is once i didn't urine but some fluid leak during i bath, and i'm not sure whether is my fluid leaking or i can't hold my bladder. Dr told me, usually if water broke, the amount will be alot and that's a sign of labor, but there is possibility of it leaking little by little. He then checked for me and confirmed my fluid is adequate so unlikely my fluid is leaking, besides, i'm only having it once and not continuously. Thank god, i'm fine, perhaps too tension while awaiting my girl.... :)

3rd follow up check up at GH Muar (37weeks6days)

Done on 19th Oct morning. It was tiring. Tiring because of waiting. I spend 2 hours waiting for my turn. It was a really simple check up done by training dr. **Sigh...**

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 121/66
Weight : 56kg (same with last follow up done 3 weeks ago, so my weight didn't increased anymore)
Baby's heart beat normal.

Being reminded to do baby kick count and if found the kicks reduced, have to admit to hospital. Also, if feeling pain, having discharge or amniotic fluid leaking.

Next appointment would be 2 weeks later ie 1 day before my EDD.

After this check up, i have made up my mind to go "private" for delivery, because it's faster and more profession. I don't wished to be waiting while i'm having labor pain. That'll be suffer i think...

16th & 17th pregnancy check up..

Done the 16th routine check on 13/10/09 at the poli. Since the weekly check has started, the check up was simple, merely to confirm i am doing well before EDD.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/70
Weight : 56kg (the nurse should have read the scale wrongly, because when i peek at the scale it shows 55.6kg ie. my weight didn't increased since last week.)
Baby's heart beat normal.

My MGTT result is ok, so nothing to be worried. The nurse reminded me to be careful and directly admit to hospital if i have "labor sign".

*************************************************************

Had the routine check at private gynea on 16/10/09. Am busy with these routine check lately because am checking at 3 different places : private gynea, GH Muar as well as GH poli. Checking at the private gynea because is more detailed and done by experienced gynea, had to go GH because admitted before and the poli because i might choose to deliver at GH ie. they need the record (haha...till now still haven't decided where i want to deliver my baby ;p)

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 118/68
Weight : 55.5kg (so, confirmed my weight did not increased since earlier this month. Anyway, as long i am healthy.)

Dr did a scan for me. He confirmed my baby has dropped and is doing well. Surprisingly, he told me my baby has reached the weight of 3kg. So, my baby isn't small but i wonder why my weight did not increased at all. Then, the Dr asked me to maintain my eating habit and not to increase the meal.

When we were done,
the assisting nurse suddenly said : Your baby's hair is quite long hor.
me : Har ? Where? How you know?
With smile she pointed at the monitor showing some hair.
They are more than an inch long....standing on my little girl's head ;)

An early gift.

Yes, i'm yet to deliver (another 3 weeks to my EDD), but i had received gift. It's from my 2nd brother's girlfriend and her mum. It's a little too early, but i feel thankful to them. :)

14th & 15th pregnancy check up..

14th check up was done on 2nd Oct at private gynea. It's a really simple check up because i have just done the scanning at Muar GH few days ago.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 117/65
Weight : 55.5kg ( didn't increased at all since weighted at GH....??? anyway, should be the scale problem...different type of scale different reading...)
Baby's heart beat normal.

Dr confirmed that my baby has get down, thats why i'm feeling pressure at my lower abdomen. Again, the Dr reminded me, i might deliver earlier. However earlier, he can't confirmed. But, he asked me not to worry too much, everything should be fine, just admit to hospital when the time comes. (Darling, don't be too early, daddy might not be back yet if you are due too early... :} )

*************************************************************

Went to GH poli for routine check on 5th Oct afternoon. This is the 3rd time hubby company me for pregnancy check up. The last 2 times was at Hongkong and China during my 1st trimester.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/70
Hb : 11.6
Weight : 55.6kg
Baby's heart beating at 135 bpm.

Dr did a scan for me. She didn't measure baby's size since the measurement has just done at GH a week ago. She just confirmed my baby is doing well. Also, telling hubby which is baby's head, heart, and etc. I'm glad hubby has the chance to see how our baby looks like in my tummy before i deliver (The last 2 times, our baby still hasn't developed :} ).

Due to my pregnancy history, GH Dr advised the nurse in poli to do a Maternal Glucose Tolerance Test (MGTT) for me. It is to determine the risk of having pregnancy diabetes. Therefore, i have to be back to the poli the next day morning for the test. The nurse requested me to fast from 10.00pm that night and can't take any breakfast the next morning.

6th Oct early in the morning, after the nurse taking the 1st blood sample, she gave me a cup of sugar water consists of 75gm sugar. The taste is really awful and i was told to finish it within 5 mins. Then, the nurse allowed me to go home for rest and be back at the poli after 2 hrs for 2nd blood sample. Within the 2 hrs i still can't had any food besides plain water. The 2 hrs was a hard time. Am really uncomfortable after drinking the sugar water. I felt blur and my stomach was spinning. The nurse said it's normal reaction but i am glad the feeling only happen in that 2 hrs. I wonder who actually originate this test. Anyway, it worth since it's done for me and my baby's benefit. The nurse will informed me earlier if my test have problem, otherwise they'll let me know the result on next appointment.

Since i am almost 36 weeks pregnant, from this week onwards, my routine check will be once a week.

月亮圆。。

2nd follow up check up at GH Muar

Done on 28th Sept 2009.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 125/71
Weight : 55.5kg
Baby's heart beat normal.

The Dr who check for my tummy's height manually told me, my baby seems smaller. Well, i have actually knew from my gynea during last routine check. So, i dont really feel worry.

A scan was done by another Dr. I asked him about my baby's size. He told me, she's only slightly smaller and i'm only 34 weeks + pregnant. Then, he told me my baby's weight is 2.3kg (hm...she has grown heavier :) and that's normal.

The next follow up is on 19th Oct, i'm about 38 weeks by the time.

Since 2006...

....1st October.

3 years, i'm officially Mrs Lee. Time flies. It isn't a short period, not long enough either. But if i didn't really count, i didn't realised i have actually become a "Mrs" for 3 years. Most probably half of the time, i'm living apart with my darling hubby.

Same as last 2 years, hubby is back to Malaysia and we don't have any celebration. The difference is, we are apart on the day. He is back in Penang, his hometown, while i'm at Muar with my unborn girl.

I'm actually looking forward for our 5th, 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th........years.

My anniversary wishes : My little girl due on time healthily.....our love last forever....

Looking forward...

On 1st October, hubby will be back for a few days holiday....He'll be back to Penang 1st then only come to Muar for 2 days...Short though...but better than none...

Since i am pregnant and back to Muar, i really miss him a lot, although i have use to the days without him around....

Looking forward for coming weekend....

Stitching update : Coaster # 2

After i have finished stitching the "Guan Yin", i have continue to stitch hubby's Zodiac Coaster which i have stopped much earlier due to insufficient materials.

Now, i have 2 done. Was thinking to do the 3rd and that'll be my baby's zodiac. But i'm not sure which to do. Most probably she's is a Scorpian since the due date falls on early Nov. However there is a possibility she is a Libran if she can't wait. Of course i hope she's due on time....Hmmm...better wait till she's born...or shall i start doing others to make a set???

12th & 13th pregnancy check up..

On 11/9/09 afternoon, went to the private gynea for routine check.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 116/69
Weight : 52.5kg
Baby's weight : 1.7kg

Scanning was done. Gynea told me baby is slightly smaller. I felt so worry. Then, he cont to tell me she might not reach 3kg upon due. Oh, Ok...Thank god! I always thought a baby around 3kg is considered "big" already....How come nowadays, less than that means small??? Anyway, as long as my baby not under weight upon due, i don't mind! (Of course if she is bigger, better lar..easier to take care mar...hehe)

During check up i asked Gynea is it baby's movements will start to get lesser, because i found my baby not that active as usual on that day. He said could be, but at night, her activeness will have to be the same. For safety, he suggested me to do ECG for baby to make sure my baby's movement reduced not because of lack of oxygen.

ECG done for 1/2 hr. Baby's heart beat is normal, movements also normal (probably too soft, i didn't feel it). However, there was 2 contractions detected within 20mins. Nurses who helped me to do the ECG told me, if there are contractions at this stage, big possibilities i will deliver earlier. My gynea with a smile ask me whether i felt uncomfortable and painful which i didn't. He then told me not to worry, relax and rest more at home. But those nurses seem worry and told me to rush to hospital once i feel uncomfortable or pain.

*********************************************************

17/9/09 morning, i went to poli for check up.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 100/60
Hb : 11.6 (finally above min :-} )
Weight : 53.5kg (1kg within 6 days?? I think most probably because of the scale. It's a digital scale at the poli, should be more sensitive.)
Baby's heart beat normal.

The nurse take quite sometime detecting my baby's heart beat because my girl is quite active at that time. Once detected, she will push here and there, sort of avoiding the checking :-} The nurse also laugh and said so early my baby already wake up...hehe...

Asked the nurse about the contraction, she said if only once in a while in a day, that's normal. Nothing to be worry. Many reasons can be the caused such as tired, hungry, stress and etc. But if there are a few times in a day, then have to go hospital for further check up. Same as my gynea, she asked me to rest more and avoid carry heavy things.

A busy week

This week is a really busy week. Grandpa admitted to hospital on Monday. Mum has to rush in and out, taking care of him in the hospital, fetching kids (taking care by her) from schools and tuition, cooking meals for us.......plus it is the mid 7th month of lunar calendar, we have to do praying at home. She has to prepare the necessaries and cooked for the praying.

I'm glad that grandpa is recovering and has discharged on Friday. Mum no need to rush in and out hospital. But, there are also a lot for her to do, helping grandma to bath grandpa, assist him get on and off the bed, feeding grandpa with milk 3 hours once via the "nose tube"......

Mum is really great like a super women. The only thing i could help her is taking care of those kids (3 of them) when she is not around or busy and do some simple house chores.

Hopefully, grandpa can get really well soon and no need to have so much attention. God bless..

11th pregnancy check up..

Done my 11th pregnancy check at GH poli on 1/9/09. Have a long wait that day, reached about 2.30pm, taken the number and waited till 3.30pm for my turn. Finished check up at 4.00pm....tired...! Only 2 numbers being called within that hour. I'm not sure what happend, they used to be very fast. Perhaps due to man power shortage because of H1N1 flu (some are helping out at the special counter for flu) or maybe it's fasting month, no energy to work!!

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 100/60
Hb : 10.9 (glad that increased, still not reaching min though)
Weight : 52.2kg
Baby's heart beat normal.

Had an injection for "Tetanus Toxoid" booster dos, the nurse said is a must for all pregnant lady after 30th weeks of pregnancy.
Have been advised to continue to take 2 iron pills twice a day before meal since my Hb still low. Actually i only take 2 iron pills once in the morning....;p Don't really want to take too much. Anyway, since my Hb still increased i believe the low Hb during last check up is due to my flu.

Cupcakes

Got this recipe from newspaper. It is really simple with little ingredients needed. Yet, it tastes nice especially serving hot. It's actually a steaming recipe, but i have added some butter in order to bake in oven.

Ingredients :-
~ 3 eggs
~ 80g caster sugar *
~ 100g butter/ margarine (melted) **
~ 150g self raising flour
~ 3 spoons soda drink (eg: F&N orange soda, or any other flavor) ***

Steps:-
~ Preheat the oven at 180C.
~ Beat the eggs and caster sugar together until the mixture turn pale and fluffy.
~ Add in the melted butter and mix well.
~ Add in the flour and beat until the mixture become smooth batter.
~ Add in the soda drink and mix well.
~ Tip the batter into paper cups (recipe enough for 12 cupcakes).
~ Bake for 15 mins or until the inserted tester come out clean.

*original recipe is 100g of caster sugar. 80g turn out to be just nice for me and my family, but those who love sweeter flavor could follow the original recipe.
** original steaming recipe is without butter.
*** the function of the soda drink is to cover the "eggy" smell. Flavor used won't affect the cake's flavor.

9th & 10th pregnancy check up..

The 9th check up was done in GH poli on 18th August and i'm about 29weeks pregnant. Due to the A(H1N1) flu, they have changed a little of their process to avoid us (pregnant lady) expose to the virus. Well, i don't think it really help because we, pregnant ladies and other patients, still waiting in the same hall. The only thing is we no need to pass by the outpatient clinics to the lab (nurse will come over to test our Hb) and pharmacy (nurse will collect the vitamin for us), then we will leave through another exit.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/70
Hb : 10.0 (obviously has reduced again from my last record...sigh...)
Weight : 51.5kg
Baby's heart beating at 139bpm (ie. normal, within 120-160bpm)

Besides my Hb getting low again, i am doing well. Of course being nagged by the nurse on that and asked what i have done. Well, i really did nothing, eating as usual, not even having any tonic soup for the pass 3 weeks before this routine check. Is it because of that, my Hb reduced?? or because of the flu?? (I had flu for about 2 weeks plus and having antibiotic to cure it, finished and recovered 2 days before the check up). The nurse said, that could be the cause but she has then requested me to increase Iron supplement (2 tablets twice a day). Hopefully this does help.

My next appointment with the poli will be 2 weeks later. Since my last trimester begin, the routine check up is scheduled to once every 2 weeks.

*************************************************************

A nurse from the poli pay me a visit on 20/8/09 morning (2 days after my routine check in the poli). Well, she just dropped by to visit me, i guessed, because she told me she is going to visit a newborn baby stay in the same "taman" and she didn't even bring my record book. The nurse know me quite well because all the past visits was done by her. She checked my blood pressure (120/80) and asked whether i'm comfortable. She only spent about 10 mins.

*************************************************************

On 23rd August, went to the private gynea for routine check. My gynea (Dr Lim) wasn't available when i arrived due to emergency operation. I was being consulted by another gynea, Dr Raja. He is a much more experienced gynea but due to possible communication problem (scared i can't expressed well in English esp. during delivery due to panic), i didn't choose him as my gynea. I'm not sure how long he has been practised as a gynea, at least 20-30 years i think. He was my mum's gynea when my mum delivered my youngest brother 15 years ago. And my mum said at that time, he is already very experience.

Dr Raja is very strict, never like my gynea, Dr Lim, will greet me will a smile and ask how am i doing. He appeared to be very "cool" but he gone through my records very carefully during consultation. He asked some questions about my pregnancy history. He seems confused when i told him i got no diabetes as well as my parents (he asked twice). Then he requested me to bring my blood test report on my next appointment to confirm i had no Hepatitis B (wondering why my gynea didn't ask for it and now he wants it).

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 108/68
Weight : 51.5kg
No scanning since it has been done during last check up. Only baby heart beat checked, normal.

Besides, in a strict voice (sort of scolding me), Dr Raja requested me to stop taking tonic soup. He said he doesn't mean those Chinese herbal is bad but since we are not sure what is the cause for my last incident (also taking the same soup) and their functions clearly, it is better not to consume. He got the points, so i will be stopped taking the soup. Pertaining to my breath difficulty during sleep, he taught me to make a slope with pillows and sleep at my side on them. Well, it seems to help but sometimes, i cant get the slope done properly...hehe...

Since poli's has scheduled routine check every 2 weeks, my next appointment with private gynea will be 3 weeks later (suppose to be 4 weeks but it's Raya Holidays).

Apple cake

I'm baking again! following recipe this time...

My apple cake looks a little ugly, i think...hehe...but that's the standard look (similar to the site where i got the recipe). It tastes nice with little apple fragrant and the apple still little crunchy. To people who love sweet, it's just nice, but to me it's over. Will have to reduce the sugar next time.

Recipe:-
~ 250g unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
~ 250g golden caster sugar (or normal caster sugar)
~ 4 eggs, beaten
~ 250g self-raising flour
~ 3 apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
~ 2 tbsp brown sugar**
~ ¼ tsp ground cinnamon**

Steps:-
~ Heat the oven to 180C.
~ Butter a 20cm/8inch baking tray, then line the base with baking paper.
~ Beat the caster sugar and butter together until the mixture turns pale and fluffy.
~ Add the eggs and flour, then beat together quickly to make a smooth batter.
~ Tip into the prepared baking tray, then lay the apple wedges on top, poking them halfway into the mix. (Don’t worry if the apples appear crowded – they’ll shrink as they cook.)
~ Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.**
~ Bake for 1 hour 5 mins, or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean and the sponge is risen and golden.
~ Leave to cool for a few mins, then release the tray and cool the cake completely on a wire rack.

**can be skipped. (I skipped and it's still nice).
PS: Reduced the castor sugar if don't want it to be too sweet.

My 2nd Trimester

I was already back at home under my mum's care before my 2nd trimester started. My weight grown almost immediately after i'm back. Most probably because i have passed the unpleasant "morning sickness" period plus nice food available anytime. I started to eat more meals and slowly 2 pcs of toast with milk doesn't seem enough for my supper. Then, i started to awake during midnight due to hungriness and i had to wake up to had another piece of bread, else i won't be able to fall asleep....hehe......Until the end of 2nd trimester, i have gained a total of 8kg (from 43kg to 51kg). Well, i am glad that my weight is growing steadily and within limits, with my good appetite though.

Had admitted to GH for 1 day due to minor bleeding during early 2nd trimester. It wasn't a pleasant stay, though. Advised by GH's gynea, the bleeding was due to low laying placenta (gynea in SZ did mentioned when i had brownish discharged) which later being confirmed by private gynea. I was being told not to worry until 3rd trimester and to rest more, avoid carry heavy things.

Mum brought me to temple to pray for blessing and the 'goddess' advised me to limit my movements (used to walk fast with big steps ;p). I had since then walk and move like penguin, slow and steady. Besides, my family suspected my brother's wedding is part of the cause. Traditional Chinese belief believes it is not good to crash 2 "happy" events (ie. pregnancy vs wedding). Therefore, i was told not to involve too much in my brother's wedding (am helping a lot since back), could only attend the dinner as guest. Also, avoid attending other's wedding, party as well as funeral, even eating things bringing back from those events. I am also being taught to massage my belly with upward movements to help bring up my placenta. I am not sure whether it really help, but my placenta has moved up to normal position at the end of 2nd trimester.

Someday during mid 2nd trimester, i found my legs look swelling and my aunt also noticed it. Of course it wasn't really swelling (confirmed by gynea, not edema), my legs just merely grown "bigger" instead. Another words, they have grown fatter and stronger, to support my weight, i guessed...haha...Until end of 2nd trimester, that's the only part on me get fatter since i gained my weight **crossing my finger**. Hopefully they will become slim after deliver (I still wished to wear mini skirt! ;p)

My belly has grown bigger from day to day and the belly button has become more and more shallow, sort of flatten. Till end of 2nd trimester, my waistline is about 36 inches. Also, i can feel my baby growing more and more heavy. Because of the belly growing bigger and heavier, my movements become clumsy. No matter sitting or squatting, i had to be very slow, cant even walk fast when rushing and i always have to put a hand on my lower abdomen when moving, like holding it. Anyway, no one will blame me...pregnant women is the "greatest"....hehe....

Since early of 2nd trimester, i started to feel my baby kicks softly once in a while. During mid of the trimester, i have started to do the kick count as requested by the nurse in GH poli. At the beginning, it is still hard to count because sometime i cant feel the kicking especially when i am busy, had to pay much attention to get it counted. And slowly, i could feel more and more kicking including her movements. End of the trimester, my baby already moving quite actively, of course it's because she already growing bigger and my tummy has limited space left. It's really amazing to feel my baby moving in my tummy and knowing there's a little one attached to me.

Around mid of 2nd trimester, i found my tummy will get harden at night. It feels like the baby is expanding, pushing out hard inside my tummy and caused pressure to my waist. I'll have to sit or stand really straight. Strange thing is after a night sleeping, my tummy will soften in the morning. Then, get harden again at night. Anyway, the Gynea said its normal because baby is more active at night.

Almost at the end of 2nd trimester, sometimes, i feel painful at my lower abdomen as well as my lower back. Of course, i know this is because my baby has grown bigger and caused pressure. Also, my leg will cramp once in a while during midnight, have taken calcium tablets though. And since i am sleeping alone, the only thing i can do is reminding myself to relax the muscle. I'm glad that actually help, otherwise i really don't know what to do.

People always said husband had to be around when the wife is pregnant, to share those sweet and sour moments together. From what the wife has suffered during pregnancy, husband will be more loving, caring and appreciate the wife more. I agreed it will be nice if hubby is around with me for all these and i believe he would love to, if he could. However, our situation just doesn't allow. Of course, i can stayed at SZ with hubby until 3rd trimester and then be back in M'sia for delivery. But that will caused burden to hubby. He felt worry when he is working, i'm alone at home. Besides, pregnancy check is really costly in Hongkong and inconvenient. So our best option is, i am back. Anyway, i glad he is back once during my 2nd trimester and did feel the changes on me. I have also try my best to describe my changes and to share my feeling when we having webchat.

Still another 3 months to go. I hope he is with me when i delivered our baby. So, "my little darling, please be patient. Get growing and wait till you are ready only come out to meet daddy and mummy, ya?''

Follow up check up at GH Muar

Due to my admission early June, i have to go Muar GH for follow up check up on 10th August, to confirm whether my low laying placenta has get normal. Of course i have known earlier during my routine check up, from my gynea that it has move up and i will be able to deliver as normal.

Arrived there about 9.00 am and it was already very crowded. Taken number and wait. It was like any other routine check at the poli. The only different is i get to meet the doctor. Trainee doctor and gynea's assistant, not the gynea though. My mum said we (ie. normal pregnant patients) going there, are for those trainee doctors' training purpose, only special or serious case will be treated by specialist. Well, it's sort of true.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 124/64
Weight : 51kg
Baby heart beat normal and is doing well.

There is one thing i am in doubt, i am not sure how's the GH system works. Supposedly, i have admitted to the GH earlier, they should already opened a file for me and all my records and tests results should be kept in the file for future reference. But, during the follow up, i found that they
are opening a new file for me, asking me those questions as i am the first time there. Besides, i actually have to tell the trainee doctor, i was admitted earlier and am there for follow up check up! Weird system, rite?? I wondered where has my earlier admission records gone. They didn't keep the file ?? Or they kept them separately?? Wouldn't it redundant??

Anyhow, will still going there for follow up because i still haven't decided where to deliver my baby. That will have to depend on the situation i think (private gynea is more professional but GH medical equipments is more complete). So, going there is like make a booking, some Malay said to "tempah katil", just in case i am going there for delivery.

Am praying for smooth delivery.

Sponsoring kids...

Picture from World Vision International website.

2 months ago, me and hubby has decided to sponsor another 2 child via World Vision Malaysia. This time they will be sponsoring under my name. I have signed up via their website last month and finally 2 weeks ago, i received the child's profile via mail.

Child's data including their photo is being send in the folder.

I have choose to sponsor a child from Lebanon and another from South Africa, so that all 4 kids we sponsored are from different country. But too bad that the South Africa project is being delayed, and i have asked them to assign child from other country instead of waiting. So now, me and hubby together are sponsoring a boy and a girl from Thailand, a boy from Vietnam and a Lebanese little girl.
The oldest is the Thais girl, age 13, then following the Thais boy age at 11, Vietnamese boy 9 years old, and lastly the Lebanese little girl who is only 4. She looks really beautiful and cute. I thought to share the kid's photo but i don't think it's fit (ie. to protect the child).
For millions of kids who are starving because of poverty, me and hubby isn't really doing much. But i believe, by everyone doing a little, there will be lesser kids suffering. So friends, lets do what you can do...only RM50 a month for a kid...

Child sponsorship - Changes Life and Building a better world for children

~ Yes! i want to sponsor a child. Sign up, now!

A(H1N1) fear....

Since the the H1N1 outbreak, i had never feel it is so close....recently, a lot of schools are closed because of it....and the health ministry has declared it is out of control......more and more people death because of it....people being warned to be alert on own health especially those high risk categories....

Early since June, my family member has taken their turn (normal flu only i suppose) and recovered...and i thought i would free from it because i am always proud with my body's immunity towards flu (i seldom being infected ***Touch wood***)...but unfortunately, being the last one being infected in my family, i am having it, at this very moment...

At any other time, flu wasn't a big deal....but since the H1N1, it has caused fear....hospitals or clinics are crowded with flu patients......and the more i read from newspaper, the more i feel worry, especially i am under one of the high risk categories....it seems there is no more must have symptoms, such as fever, sniffle, sore throat and cough to determine (me only sore throat and running nose).....though i believe mine is because of the hot weather and extremely hazy air...

Anyway, i have went to my gynea for med yesterday and will be going to Muar GH for return check up....so let see what's the GH gynea suggest....well, i hope i am alright by then....

Complaint on Airasia...

Made a complaint to Airasia regarding its ticket price.

To : customercare-donotreply@airasia.com
Subject : COMPLAINT ON ticket price

On 8 Jul 2009, I booked a ticket for my husband travelling from Shenzhen to Kuala Lumpur, travelling date : 30 Sept 2009 time : 8.45pm , flight: AK89. The ticket priced at 895.00 CNY without airport tax. Knowing that the fare is capacity controlled, and the price has actually increased quite a lot, meaning only limited seats left, i purchased the ticket without second thought to avoid it being sold out.
However, about a week later on 18 Jul 2009, i checked the ticket price again for the same date and travelling time (ie. 30 Sept 2009 time : 8.45pm, AK89), i was shocked to found out the price has reduced to 258.00 CNY!!! The ticket i have purchased is almost 4 times expensive!!!
Isn't Airasia's fare was said to be capacity controlled and fare offered only to limited seats, how could the price suddenly fluctuated??? If the seats with lower fare still available, how come Airasia are selling it with higher price 1st??? I know there is a promotion, and I could understand a 10% to 20% price reduction of previous price during promotional period, but in my case thats more than 70% reduction. That isn't fair to us who purchased the ticket earlier, thinking that the earlier the cheaper. Is Airasia marking up the ticket price before promotion (Airasia knows there is promotion coming soon) and to break even the promotional cost???
In this case, as a consumer, i think Airasia owed us an explanation and i requested a solution (cancelled my ealier purchased with no cost so that i could repurchased under the promotional price or refund the difference between 2 prices). Also, please advised us whether to purchased the ticket earlier to enjoy cheaper price or to wait until there is promotion??? because in my case, promotion price is very much cheaper than what i got earlier.
I'm really dissappointed. For years, since the route available, my husband and i travelled frequently via Airasia between Shenzhen and Kuala Lumpur (vice versa), but we end up being manipulated!! I sincerely await your reply asap.
By : Jess Wan

Below is Airasia's reply to me which i don't really satisfy.

Dear Ms.Jess,
We thank you for writing in to us.
Regards to your feedback, the fare that you booked is with airport tax of RM 90.00 (amount i quote has taken out the tax!) and it is not a promotion fare.
AirAsia offer fares that are lower than the market rate and one of the reasons we can offer such low fares is by distributing our fares according to demand and supply. This approach in general allows more people to take advantage of our low fares (In my case, i felt we being taken advantage).
The promo fares may not be available on every flight as it depends on the demand for that flight and how many seats have already been booked. The special offers will normally only be available on days when there are fewer people flying (If demand is low, why ticket selling at high price 1st??? taking customer's advantage lor!!). Furthermore, we may increase or decrease the number of seats available on any flight while the promotion is running depending on the situation and how much we demand see coming in (So...its up to Airasia. When they happy, they could sell it cheap; when they are not, increased the price).
We regret to inform you that we are unable to cancel and refund because once booking is confirm cancellation of flight is not allowed and payment are not refundable (That's standard answer! I am just trying my luck).
Trust we have your understanding in this matter.
Thanks and Regards,

Mani
Guest Support

We are really angry about Airasia. For years, we been travelling via it and we always trusted on is pricing, buying early for cheaper ticket. Even if the price has increased overtime but we really need to make the trip, we will still pay for it with no doubts, believing it is because only limited seats left. This is the first time we encounter this.

Well, a 10-20% reduction during promo is understandable, but now ours is a 70% reduction. Money paid for a person's ticket is then enough to paid for a family travel for 3!!! That's ridiculous, i think...

I have lodged a same complaint to "National Consumer Complaints Centre (NCCC)". Lets see any outcome. Hopefully, because of this, Airasia won't simply increase or decrease the price and claiming because of the 'sudden' change in demand and supply.

Stitching update : Guan Yin #1

Have continue with my stitching since brother's wedding. That's about 3 weeks ago.

I have finally finish stitching the cloth. Look nice, ya?? Will start to stitch the lotus under her feet. I hope i could finish the whole picture before my baby due. Else, i won't have free time doing it anymore when i have to take care of my little girl. ;)

Butter cupcakes

Mum suggested that since i am free at home, why not try making some snacks or cake. So last week, we did some cupcakes using the "ready butter cake mix" bought from supermarket. It's quite easy. We only have to add in butter and eggs, and baked according to instructions.

My butter (magerine actually..hehe...) cupcakes, look nice?? I like it more while serving hot and should be nice with black coffee. Too bad i can't have coffee at the moment (not good for pregnant women ;{ ). Anyhow, to me, it tasted too sweet but my cousins love it a lot.

Later, will try making others according to recipe instead of those ready cake mix. Hmmm.....It'll be more challenging...

7th & 8th pregnancy check up..

7th pregnancy check up was done at GH poli on 14 Jul. It was 2 weeks since my last routine check at the same poli. The biggest purpose of this check is to make sure my Hb is ok.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 100/60
Hb : 11.0 (finally near to minimum of 11.5)
Weight : 48.3kg (gained 1.3kg within 2 weeks)
Baby heart beat normal.

Thanks God! My Hb is near to normal. I think the assumption about "red dates" should be quite true, although it helps enriching blood, but via blood circulation way ie. splitting blood cells for body to generate more blood, so within short time my Hb shown low. It can still be eaten, just don't when wanna go check up...hehehe...The nurse has requested me to cont on the vitamins, and my next appointment will be a month later (no need be back within 2 weeks :}).

8th pregnancy check up..

Go to private gynea for routine check on 19th Jul, although i have just gone to the poli few days ago. Have to go both places because i still haven't decide where to deliver my baby, therefore, have to have records at both places. Other reasons are the poli will check on Hb and give vitamins for free, but they don't do ultrasound (will only do twice throughout the whole pregnancy period). They just merely listen to baby heart beat to make sure baby is ok (wonder about it because sometime the heart beat sound not really clear).

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/70
Weight : 48.3kg
Baby's weight already 665gm (grown more than 300gm in a month and my tummy been expanding a lot, feeling heavy...hehe...).
Baby's heart beat normal.

Beside checking my baby's size (upon development), the gynea also confirmed that my placenta has gone up, and should be able to deliver my baby naturally (glad to know that).

Looking forward to meet my girl....still have 4 months to go...

Home made chicken essence

This is the soup i drink once every week, pure chicken essence with herb, a kind of 'ginseng'. It's said good for health especially pregnant women. It's very tasty but costly. hehe...Believe it or not....This bowl itself cost me about RM70....

Me and mum went to a Chinese medicine store to buy this because i had finished those bought earlier by grandma. The storekeeper intro us the one which said to be the best quality from America. It costs RM90 for only 4gm. There are other same herb which is cheaper from other country but the quality isn't so good. He asked us to buy some to try 1st, then we'll know the difference. The storekeeper suggested to use all for once, but i have asked mum to split into 2 times (too expensive...hehe).

Well, indeed it is really nice, nicer than all i had before, but i'm not sure whether is the "Kampong chicken" or the herb making the soup nicer. Anyway, having the expensive one, once in a while is okay, but if always sure will bankrupt before my baby is born....will have to get some cheap one.....hehehe....

Thanks to mum, because of her, i can have nice soup...

Brother's Wedding

So fast, brother's wedding has passed for about a week. Our house is finally back to normal. I have never thought when there is a wedding, as a family member we would be so busy. We were all exhausted after the wedding. Last time, my wedding was a simple one due to distance (Penang and Muar). We have avoid lots of traditional ritual, tired though (due to travelling), but not much preparation to be done.

For brother's wedding, as early before months, we were busy in and out for the preparation. Then, till the wedding, busy entertaining relatives, making sure everything has carry out in order. After the wedding, busy cleaning up the house. I am really glad that hubby is helping a lot on my behalf especially on the wedding day because i am not convenient to walk around much. That's why we don't really have much private time while he is back.

Now after the wedding is over, i only realised i don't have any photo to be posted. The only photo i have taken is family photo, taken by the photographer but i still yet to get it. Hm.....waste my hassle "setting" my hair for the wedding dinner.....

Anyway, the wedding was cheerly, all of us is happy.

Wishing my brother and sister in law "Happy Ever After".

6th pregnancy check up..

Routine check up at GH poli was done on 30th June 2009. I am the only one that afternoon, so the check up is quite fast without waiting.

Urine test : normal
Blood pressure : 110/70
Hb : 9.5 (ONLY!!! reduced again!!!)
Weight : 47kg (gained about 2kg within a month, according to schedule, nothing to worry)

I was shocked when i saw the Hb result, wondering why it reduced again. I have started to take iron pills twice a day (sometimes forget though :p) and i make sure myself eating enough nutrition foods. Mum also keep making chicken soup for me.....

The nurses nagged on me when she saw my Hb result, i know it's very low. They said if it continue to be low, i might have to be admitted!!! (**my GOD** pls help). I told them i have no idea why since i have eaten as they taught. One of them check my baby's heart beat, it's normal.

Then, we have little chat on my Hb since they are free that afternoon. They asked whether i felt dizzy or any problem, which i don't. I am just as usual. We talked about my eating habits. I found out from them, iron pills have to take before meal and all other vitamins after meal which all the while i took wrongly ie. all at once after meal...hehe...^could it be the reason??^ Then one of the nurse asked whether i eat "Chinese red dates". Of course i did, it is known to help enriching blood. Coincidentally, i have just drink the drink cook with it before i go check up. But she told me, the red dates actually will split up our blood cells and causing it watery. That was what we don't know. So, we suspect that is the reason why my Hb become low when i go check up. Could be it helps to split the blood cells in order for my body to produce more blood, but the process wasn't fast enough. She suggest me not to eat so frequent. Anyway, will just try out and see, don't drink before my next check up.

Next appointment will be on 14th July. Due to my low Hb, they want me to have routine check once every 2 weeks. And i will have to start baby kick count. Well, since the poli is quite near to my house, i don't mind frequent check, as long is good for my baby. Hopefully i am okay from next check up onwards.

Hubby is back..

Earlier on i been counting down for hubby to be back for brother's wedding.
And today, we have sent him off.

His trip back this time is really rush.
We are busy all the time for brother's wedding, entertainning relatives who come for the wedding, tidying the house after the wedding.........from the day he's back till today he leaves.
End up we don't really have much private time...sigh....

Now, i will have to start another count down, a much more longer period this time.
Hubby will only be back again on November when i deliver our baby, that's another 4 months!!!
How am i going passed these periods??
Hopefully time could go faster.......

CDT (cash deposit machine)....convenient?? efficient??

Yesterday afternoon, i company mum go to MayBank to bank in some money. That was the 2nd time she went. She has gone there that morning, but all the machine was out of service.

Thinking that deposit via CDT should be quite fast, i waited her in the car. End up i waited her for more than 1/2 hour in the car!!! After she was done, she told me the queue is really long and only 2 out of 3 machines are working.

Come on....machines out of service on a banking day???
Some more in the afternoon???
How about during public holiday or weekend then???
None of them can be used???

I thought CDT is created for public convenience and for efficiency. People could deposit anytime 24 x 7 when needed without spending time queing at the bank counter. However, what my mum go through at MayBank doesn't seem convenient and efficient at all.

I remember spending the same period of time opening a new account at Public bank (including waiting time). That's efficient!!

Letters from our sponsored kids...

Picture from World Vision International website.

Early this year, while i am still wondering whether we should start writing to our sponsored kids, we received letters from both of them. Although, it's a simple letter written in their language (translated by WV volunteer), introducing themselves and some drawings on it, but we are happy. We spent quite some time drafting the reply, not knowing how and what to write actually...especially the Vietnamese boy, there are only 4 short sentences in his letter. Glad that at last, me and hubby managed to come up with a full page reply...hehehe...

Last month, we received their letters again. The Thais girl thanking us for sponsoring her while the boy, sending his annual progress report of 2009. Me and hubby are happy to know that they are doing well under World Vision's program and that our sponsorship of minimal cost are making a difference to them.

Till today i have yet to reply the girl's letter (again, not sure what to write...hahaha...)but will be squeezing my brain juice soon. As for the boy, i have sent him a parcel with a card early this month, greeting him happy birthday (his birthday falls on July). Hopefully he likes the things i sent and is useful to him.

A(H1N1) outbreaking..

The flu is outbreaking all over the world now...People are being warned to reduce travelling and avoid going crowded places because possibility being infected is high...

Hubby will be travelling back from SZ for my brother's wedding next week, which means he will be highly exposed to the virus...Though it's not a vital disease but i am still worried...not he is being infected (as long he is hygienic enough, should be safe) but the troubles he might have if there is one patient taking the same flight with him (***TOUCH WOOD***)...

I hope he has a smooth journey and of course free from the virus...

PS to all: Be aware and take good care!

Missing hubby...

Been back in Muar more than a month, and never stop missing hubby...though every night we had to have video chat online, but that's never enough...There are many nights, i awake from sleep, thinking of him....

I miss his hugs....
his kiss....
his smells.....
even his snore....;p

Before i am back, i thought i will get use to it very soon because we use to live apart before married....but 2 years living in China without family and lots of friend, has bound two of us closer, create lots of memory....

I miss the times we sit side by side watching movie together....
I miss the times we both busy in the kitchen cooking our meals....
I miss the times we stroll hand in hand to supermarket....
I miss the times he work at home and i sit beside him reading....
I miss many more....

Fortunately, now, I have family and friends at home and my day time is occuppied by helping mum with house chores and brother's wedding preparation. Only at night, when i lie on bed, realizing hubby is not beside me. I am hoping time could go faster, we could meet our baby and get back to live together.....a new family life of 3.

My darling, are you missing me and baby as much as i am??
